The first FIFA Club World Cup™ is now just 95 days away!
FC Bayern München centre-back Dayot Upamecano has the best pass-completion ratio in the 2024/25 Bundesliga (95.47 per cent). The 26-year-old’s team-mates Kim Minjae (94.20) and Joshua Kimmich (93.06) are third and sixth respectively.
Fellow Bayern player Eric Dier boasts the best pass-completion ratio in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League (minimum 50 attempts), while goalkeeper Manuel Neuer astonishingly completed 244 passes at Brazil 2014 – more than Lionel Messi (242), Wesley Sneijder (242), Thomas Muller (221), Arjen Robben (201) and Paul Pogba (197).
Bayern will play Auckland City FC in Cincinnati, CA Boca Juniors in Miami and SL Benfica in Charlotte in Group C at the FIFA Club World Cup. Dier is relishing the clash against Benfica, having begun his career with their arch-rivals Sporting.
Upamecano could play his childhood friend, Paris Saint-Germain thriller Ousmane Dembele, in the quarter-finals, and his former employers FC Salzburg in the semis.
