The first FIFA Club World Cup™ is now just 75 days away!
Espérance have amazingly lost only 75 Ligue 1 games over the past 27 campaigns. They have, during this period, survived a season undefeated three times, and claimed 19 of 26 titles.
It’s a remarkable feat considering they compete against fellow former African champions Club Africain and Etoile Sportive du Sahel, as well as heavyweights CS Sfaxien.
Espérance clinched the Tunisian title in 2023/24 by finishing a record eight points clear in the six-side championship play-offs. It was their 33rd crown overall, a staggering 20 more than second-placed Club Africain. The Red and Yellow have also won four CAF Champions League crowns – a figure bettered only by TP Mazembe (5), Zamalek (5) and Al Ahly FC (12).
Espérance will encounter CR Flamengo and Chelsea FC in Philadelphia in their first and third games at the FIFA Club World Cup. Nashville will stage their second outing against adversaries to be confirmed.
